Hearts of Oak have officially expressed their keen interest in securing the services of striker Sampson Eduku, who currently plays for the relegated Tamale City.

The Phobians have taken the necessary steps by formally requesting permission to initiate negotiations for the talented striker.

Eduku had an outstanding season with Tamale City in the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League, emerging as the club’s top scorer and showcasing his impressive goal-scoring abilities.

Finishing in third place on the league’s goal-scoring charts, Eduku amassed an impressive total of 14 goals, falling just three goals short of Abednego Tetteh from Goldstars, who claimed the top spot with 18 goals.

The young striker’s remarkable debut season has garnered attention from several top clubs across Ghana, with reports from Ghanaweb indicating that Eduku is eager to move to a Premier League club during the current transfer window, rather than continue playing in the lower tier.

Aside from Hearts of Oak, Medeama SC, the winners of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League, have also expressed their interest in securing the signature of Sampson Eduku. Both clubs recognize his potential and are vying to acquire his services.
