Ex-Hearts of Oak captain Samuel Nzemaba warns club against considering ‘average’ David Ocloo for head coach position

Former Hearts of Oak SC player, Samuel Nzemaba, expressed his opinion on the current coach of the 2000 CAF Champions League winners, David Ocloo, describing him as an average coach.
Having been the captain of the Rainbow Boys in the past, Nzemaba stated that he would strongly disagree if the club were to appoint the former head coach of Liberty Professionals FC for the position.
“I don’t believe David Ocloo is capable of handling Hearts of Oak. I heard him say in an interview that he is ready to coach the team if given the opportunity,” Nzemaba remarked.
He further expressed his skepticism by pointing out the poor results achieved by Ocloo during his interim role, questioning the decision to appoint him as the head coach.
“Hearts of Oak is not like Bofoakwa Tano and other smaller clubs. The team has high demands, and it would be a mistake to dismiss the head coach and assign the position to someone who is considered an average coach. I hope we see a change next season with the appointment of someone who can effectively lead the team,” Nzemaba shared with Ghanasportspage.com.
Nzemaba’s comments highlight his concerns about the coaching selection process and his desire to see Hearts of Oak SC thrive under a competent and capable leader in the upcoming season.
