David Ocloo, the coach of Hearts of Oak, has advised the club’s fans to be cautious with their words despite the team’s underwhelming performance this season.

Hearts of Oak have been going through a tough period, suffering six defeats in their last seven games. In their latest match, they were defeated 1-2 by RTU at the Accra Sports Stadium, marking their fourth consecutive loss. Although Linda Mtange scored to give the Phobians the lead, goals from Abdul Manaf Umar and Stephen Badu Dankwah secured the victory for RTU.

As a result, Hearts of Oak find themselves in a relegation battle, sitting in 11th place on the league standings with 45 points. Their upcoming away match against Berekum Chelsea is a must-win situation.

“They have every right to be angry and express their opinions, but they should remember that I inherited a depleted squad. Therefore, they should choose their words wisely,” Ocloo emphasized.

When asked if the team’s recent struggles can be excused, Ocloo responded, “It’s not an excuse, but it’s the truth. These are challenging times, and we can only plead for more support from the fans because that’s the only way we can bounce back.” Ocloo shared these thoughts with StarTimes.
