Transfer News: Hearts of Oak reportedly open talks to sign Bechem United midfield gem Francis Twene
1 min read
Reports suggest that Hearts of Oak are currently engaged in discussions with Bechem United regarding the possible signing of midfielder Francis Twene, ahead of the 2023/24 football campaign.
The Accra-based club had previously attempted to secure Twene’s signature last season, but negotiations fell apart due to a disagreement over transfer fees. However, Hearts of Oak remains determined to sign the 22-year-old midfielder, who they view as a valuable addition to their team despite already having Eric Esso and Jordan Glid Otanga in their midfield.
Twene is known for his physicality, defensive abilities, technical skills, and impressive long-range shooting abilities. He has formed a formidable partnership with former Kotoko midfielder Latif Anabila over the last two seasons, winning plaudits from fans for his performances.
If Hearts of Oak manages to complete the signing, Twene’s addition will bolster their midfield and could prove crucial in their bid for success in the upcoming season.
Negotiations between both clubs are expected to continue in the coming weeks in a bid to reach a mutually acceptable agreement.
