2023 AFCON Q: No Partey, Inaki as Chris Hughton names Ghana starting lineup to face Angola
1 min read
Chris Hughton, the coach of Ghana’s national team, has made changes to the starting eleven for their reverse fixture against Angola today.
In their previous Group E match, Hughton’s first game in charge, Ghana secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Angola in the qualifiers for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations tournament.
However, due to an injury, Hughton has had to adjust the team’s defensive setup. Kingsley Schindler has replaced Dennis Odoi as the right-back, and Joseph Aidoo has stepped in for the injured Alexander Djiku.
In midfield, Edmund is now joined by Abdul Salis Samed, while the attack remains unchanged, except for Thomas Partey moving to the bench.
Mohammed Kudus, Jordan Ayew, and Kamaldeen Sulemana are supporting striker Antoine Semenyo.
Here is the starting eleven for the Black Stars for their match against Angola this evening.
