U23 AFCON Qualifier: Black Meteors hold final training section in Accra ahead of Algeria trip

Ahead of their upcoming match against Algeria, the Black Meteors held a training session at the Accra Sports Stadium with thirty players, under the guidance of Coach Ibrahim Tanko and his technical staff.

However, only twenty-five players will make the trip to Algeria for the first leg of the U-23 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers on March 24th, 2023. The return leg will be hosted at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on March 28th, 2023.

Coach Tanko invited eight foreign-based players for the qualifiers, including Emmanuel Essiam from FC Basel, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku from Sporting Lisbon, Emmanuel Yeboah from CFR Cruj, Alex Sarfo and Ernest Nuamah from FC Nordsjaelland, Zubairu Ibrahim from FK Jedinstvo Ub, Adams Salim from FC Cincinnati, and Daniel Afriyie Banierh from FC Zürich.

The winner of the two legs will advance to the TotalEnergies U-23 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
