Match Report: Asante Kotoko cruise past Samartex

On Saturday, Asante Kotoko secured their second away win of the season with a 2-0 victory over Samartex at the Nsenkyire Sports complex.

The Porcupine Warriors exhibited strong determination and resilience to clinch all three points in the game. This season, Kotoko has now defeated Samartex in consecutive matches in the Ghana Premier League.

Enoch Morrison scored the first goal for Kotoko in the 18th minute with a fantastic team move, while Rocky Dwamena extended the lead before halftime.

Samartex had several chances from set pieces in the second half as they searched for an equalizer, but it was Aquach who eventually scored for them in the 69th minute.

Despite this, Kotoko held on to their lead, with goalkeeper Frederick Asare impressively keeping the opposition at bay. As a result of this victory, Asante Kotoko has risen to third place in the league table with 34 points, while Samartex has suffered their second defeat of the season.
