Algeria and Ghana will face each other in the final round of qualifiers for the TotalEnergies U-23 Africa Cup of Nations later this month, after Ethiopia notified non-participation.
Initially, Ethiopia was supposed to play Algeria in the second round of qualifiers, but due to the disqualification of the Democratic Republic of Congo by CAF for fielding an unqualified player in the 2nd and 3rd rounds of the qualifiers against Ethiopia and Algeria respectively, Algeria was declared the winner and qualified for the final round.
The 1st leg of the match will be held in Annaba on March 24th, while the 2nd leg will be held on March 28th, 2023 at the Baba Yara Sports stadium in Kumasi.
