2022/23 GPL: Match report - Medeama rally from behind to beat King Faisal in Kumasi

Medeama ended their two games winless run following a 2-3 win over King Faisal.

The visitors put up a great performance to hand King Faisal their third defeat at home.

King Faisal took the lead on the 14th minute through Abdul Latif, who scored with an expertly taken free kick.

Just ten minutes after, Medeama SC picked their pieces to level the score through Nurudeen Abdulai.

Vincent Atinga made it 2-1 for Medeama converting a well taken penalty.

King Faisal came so close to getting the equalizer but Abdul Latif had his goal bound effort went off the post.

After the break, the Mauves and Yellows made it 3-1 through Kwesi Donsu.

King Faisal pulled one back on the 59th minute from a deflected free kick from Joseph Gordon.

Benjamin Asiedu denied the visitors with a  save to stop Kwasi Donsu’s efforts.

King Faisal came so close to getting the equaliser in the dying embers but center-back Appasu Lawoe had his header went off the crossbar. It ended 2-3 for Medeama SC after full time.
