Asante Kotoko forward Samuel Boateng joins FC Samartex

Asante Kotoko have loaned striker Samuel Boateng to fellow top-flight side FC Samartxe.

The Porcupine Warriors confirmed the move on Wednesday, January 25, through a club statement via social media.

In a short post on Twitter, the Kumasi-based club indicated that Boateng will play for FC Samartex for the remainder of the 2022–23 football season, wishing him well. 

“Our forward, Samuel Boateng, joins premier side Samartex FC on loan until the end of the 2022–23 season. “We wish Boateng the best on loan,” the statement from Asante Kotoko said.

At FC Samartex, Samuel Boateng has been signed to provide a squad boost for the club.

The side has struggled since the start of the league season and hopes the Kotoko forward can contribute goals to help the team escape relegation at the end of the season.

Boateng joined Kotoko from Division One League outfit Future before the start of the 2021–22 season in a three-year deal.

But the attacker has been struggling to get enough playing time under the tutelage of new gaffer Seydou Zerbo.

He has made 7 appearances in the new season.
