The Black Meteors have being camping for weeks now ahead of their African Cup of Nations qualifiers against Mozambique.

Ghana drew a bye in the first of three- round qualifying series for the tournament to be staged in Morocco next year.

Ghana will face Mozambique who defeated Mauritius 5-1 on aggregate in the face round.

The Black Meteors are expected to travel to the East Africa Nation for the first leg before hosting them in the second leg at the Cape Coast stadium.

Engaging in trial matches, the Ghana U-23 team took on Ghana Premier League side Dreams FC in a friendly on Wednesday at the Accra Sports Stadium, winning two goals to one.

Both goals were scored in the second half.

With encounter scheduled for this month, Black Meteors head coach Ibrahim Tanko says the side will be ready to before game against Mozambique.

“We are preparing them very well, this week we have a lot time to train with all of them,” he told Radio Gold.

“We still have two and a half weeks to the game so I think by then we will be ready for the game.”

“If you look at the squad, we have almost six or seven players from the Karim Zito squad so I think it’s a good start and we hope that they will show something,” he concluded.

The first and second leg is scheduled for October 21-23 and October 28-30 respectively.
