Hearts Of Oak star midfielder to miss start of the season with injury

Hearts have been dealt a huge injury blow with midfielder Maman Lawali Abdourahmane set to miss the start of the 2022/23 campaign.

The Nigerien has endured a patchy fitness record since signing for the Phobians at the beginning of the 2019/20 season.
The information available to this site indicates that he will have to wait until mid-October to be back on the pitch.

It’s understood the 25-year-old picked up the injury in pre-season training and has not featured in the club’s recent games. The midfielder has yet to appear for the Phobians since January 2021.

Hearts play Aduana Stars in their season opener on 11 September. The Phobians then face a tough test against city rivals, facing Accra Great Olympics at the Accra Sports stadium on 18 September.
