Ghana striker Augustine Okrah elated with debut goal for Simba SC in Tanzania league

Ghana forward, Augustine Okrah has expressed his delight after netting his debut goal in Simba SC’s 3-0 victory over Geita Gold on opening day of 2022/23 Tanzanian Premier League season.

The 28-year-old was named on the substitute bench but was introduced after Simba were forced to make a change early in the game.

Okrah opened the scoring with a nice free-kick from outside the box by the 36th minute before Moses Phiri added another goal on 61st minute to put Simba in the driving seat.

Okrah made the difference on the day when he was brought down n the Geita penalty area to earn the penalty for Simba SC on the 61st minute.

“It always feel good to announce your presence. I’m elated to have scored my debut goal and also win a penalty in my first-ever Premier League game for Simba SC in Tanzania. I’m hoping for more through Christ who strengthens man, ” Okrah Twitted on Thursday.

The former Ghana Premier League top scorer joined Simba ahead of the season from Bechem United.
