Match report: Great Olympics humiliate city rivals Hearts Of Oak

In matchweek 33 of the Ghana Premier League, Great Olympics thrashed Hearts of Oak 3-0 at the Ohene Gyan Stadium.

The ‘Phobians’ started off strong and came close to wreaking havoc on their opponents after Sulley Muntari picked up Suraj Seidu with a good pass, but were halted by the opposition backline.

In the 33rd minute, Olympics extended their advantage thanks to a close-range header from Razak Yussif.
 

On the 39th minute, Hearts of Oak made three consecutive substitutes, removing Caleb, Awako, and Yorke and replacing them with Patrick Razak, Asubonteng, and James Sewornu.

The Rainbow club returned from recess on a high note, nearly cutting the lead in half early on, but Enoch Asubonteng’s effort flew straight at goalkeeper Stephen Kwaku.
 

 On the 55th minute, the away team had another chance, but Stephen Kwaku reacted quickly to block Kojo Obeng Jnr’s header.
