Starlets handed tough draw for 2023 AFCON Qualifiers

Ghana’s Black Starlets have been handed a tricky draw for the 2022 WAFU Zone B U-17 Cup of Nations, as Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin’s side battle rivals Nigeria and Togo in Group A.

The WAFU Zone B Cup of Nations, to be hosted in Cape Coast from June 11 to 24, will serve as a qualifying competition for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Group B of the West Africa regional championship comprises – Cote d’Ivoire, Benin, Burkina Faso and Niger.

The seven participating teams will be vying for the top two spots in the competition to represent WAFU Zone B in the 12-team 2023 U-17 AFCON in Algeria.
