‘Ronaldo not a threat to Black Stars’ – Yaw Preko

Former Black Stars winger Yaw Preko does not think Portugal Captain Cristiano Ronaldo will be a threat to Ghana at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Ghana has been pitted in Group H of the mundial, scheduled for November, with rivals Uruguay, Portugal and South Korea.

Ronaldo and Suarez are widely viewed as the two big names for Portugal and Uruguay, who could hurt the Black Stars chances of qualifying to the knockout stage.

But, based on his current dip in form at Manchester United, Preko doesn’t expect Ronaldo to be danger-man but was quick to add that he could make an impact only if the players around him are dangerous.

“I don’t see Ronaldo as a threat but the players around him. Since he came to Manchester United, you can see that physically and psychologically, he is not the same but the players around him are dangerous,” Preko told Graphic Sports.
