Former Black Stars midfielder, Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has debunked reports claiming he’s close to signing for Hearts of Oak.

Agyemang Badu, a member of the squad that won the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup title in Egypt has been linked with a move to the defending league champions.

Badu, in an interview with with Accra-based Rainbow Radio’s Isaac Worlanyo Wallace posited that Samuel Boadu, the coach for Hearts of Oak is his close friend but no management member of Hearts have contacted him for his services.

He further stated that he will rather choose to be a ball boy or supporters chairman for Kotoko than to play for their rivals Hearts of Oak.

The 31-year-old reiterated that he has unfinished business with the current league leaders and he would want a return to the club despite fancying a return to Europe.

The former Udinese man signed a six-month deal with Asante Kotoko in the 2008/09 season and featured twice for the Porcupines before leaving for abroad right after the 2009 U20 World Cup.

The 31-year-old is currently a free agent after leaving Chinese side Qingdao FC in January.
