I want to make Kotoko the best club in the world – Prosper Narteh Ogum

Newly-appointed Asante Kotoko head coach Dr. Prosper Ogum Narteh has set audacious task of making the club the best on the globe after his tenure.
The 44-year-old was officially announced as Kotoko’s coach on Sunday, September 19, 2021, following the club’s decision to mutually terminate the contract with Portuguese gaffer Mariano Baretto just after some five months.
Although, Ogum is yet to play his first game with the Reds, he promised in his first-ever interview after sealing a two-year deal that he wants to make them the best in the world.
“I will do my best to make Asante Kotoko Sporting Club the best club in Ghana, Africa and the world.
“I am awfully grateful for this opportunity to serve such a great club Kumasi Asante Kotoko. Everyone will happy.
“I would like to use this opportunity to thank you all for your congratulatory messages, compliments and best wishes. I’m very grateful.
” Thanks to HRM Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Board, Management and Supporters for reposing trust in me,” he added.
Ogum commenced his duties on Monday, September 20, 2021 as Kotoko players arrived for the start of their pre-season ahead of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season. The Ghana Premier League is scheduled to start on October 29.
Ogum becomes the seventh coach the club has hired since 2019 after Charles Kwablah Akonnor, Kjetil Zachariason, Maxwell Konadu, Johnson Smith, Abdulai Gazelle and Mariano Baretto.
