Winning AFCON requires a lot of planning – Fred Pappoe

Former Ghana Football Association Vice-President Fred Pappoe has outlined some factors that Ghana should consider before the country can land the African Cup of Nations trophy which has eluded the African powerhouse in the last 38 years.

Ghana failed to live up to the billing at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Egypt following a quarter-final elimination by Tunisia.

The development prolonged Ghana’s wait for a trophy at senior international level since 1982.

However, Fred Pappoe in an interview with Sikka FM opined that, Ghana needs a workable plan before it can win the continental showpiece.

“Winning AFCON requires a lot of planning,” he told Kumasi-based Sikka FM.

” And we must put that into consideration to be able to achieve our target. Football requires planning and without it, it will be difficult to win yit again.”
