Ghana’s Ampem Darkoa Ladies, the reigning champions, have advanced to the semifinals of the West Africa Zone B Women’s Champions League qualifiers.
They secured their spot after defeating Athletico de Abidjan 3-1, adding to their earlier victory over Amis Du Monde from Togo with a score of 4-2.
Mary Amponsah’s impressive hat-trick was instrumental in their success, and she was recognized as the Most Valuable Player for her exceptional performance.
This progress underscores their pursuit of a place in the CAF Women’s Champions League, with the WAFU B Cup as the qualifying route.
Notably, Amponsah has scored a total of 7 goals in two tournament games, building on her previous achievement of four goals against Amis Du Monde.
Ampem Darkoa was in Group B alongside Athletico de Abidjan and Amis Du Monde from Togo.
