1 min readIbrahim Sadiq scored a brace to propel Bk Häcken to a 3-1 victory against Aberdeen and a place in the group stages of the Europa League.
The Ghanaian, who was a scorer and a provider in the 2-2 draw in the first leg opened the scoring in 14th minute, hitting a powerful shot from the edge of the box.
Sadiq extended Häcken’s lead in the 41st minute, finishing off a through ball from Mikkel Rygaard Jensen.
In the 56th minute, Aberdeen pulled a goal back from the spot-kick to give themselves hope of a comeback, but those who hopes were dashed in the 81st minute when Amor Layouni scored from a similar situation to extend Häcken’s lead to 3-1.
The 3-1 win earns Häcken a 5-3 aggregate win and a place in the group stages of the Europa League, the first in the team’s history.
For Ibrahim Sadiq, the brace increased his goal contribution this season for Häcken to 20 goals and 2 assists in 24 appearances. Per reports, the 23-year old will officially join AZ Alkmaar in the coming days.
