There was pressure on me to sign for Kotoko prior to joining Aduana Stars – Caleb Amankwaa

Aduana Stars stalwart defender, Caleb Amankwaa has disclosed that there was incessant pressure on him to join Asante Kotoko prior to signing for the Dormaa-based club.
Amankwaa joined the 2009 Ghana Premier League Champions in 2018 from Sogakope-based outfit WAFA in a three-year deal.
The Black Meteors defender was heavily linked with a move to the Porcupine Warriors after an impressive season with the Academy Lads but he opted for Aduana Stars.
Speaking in an interview with Kumasi-based Sikka FM, Amankwaa revealed Aduana Stars’ participation in Africa inspired him to join the side although he was contacted by Kotoko.

Aduana Stars was inspired by their participation in Africa.”
Last year, it was reported that Asante Kotoko expressed interest in acquiring the services of Caleb Amankwaa.
He is one of the versatile defenders in the Ghanaian top-flight who can play as a right-back and center-back positions.
He was an integral member of the Fire Boys be ore the 2018 Ghana Premier League season was truncated after the premiering of the investigative documentary by Anas Aremeyaw Anas on corruption in Ghana football.
