1 min readTanzanian giants Young Africans SC have cancelled the contract of head coach Luc Eymael with immediate effect for racist remarks on the club’s fans.
The Belgian trainer after what is a seemed a disappointing season described the fans as dogs and monkeys who do not know anything about football Saturday during an interview.
“I don’t enjoy your country (Tanzania) You are uneducated people. I am disgusted. I don’t have a car, WiFi or DSTV,” he said.
“These fans don’t know anything about football. It’s like monkeys or dogs when they are shouting.”
The Tanzania Premier League ended on Sunday with Young Africans finishing second on the standings behind sworn rivals Simba SC who have won the championship for a third consecutive season.
On Monday, Young Africans terminated the contract of 60-year-old who has always been surrounded with controversies in African football.
He has coached 13 clubs since 2010 and has had unending issues the fans of these clubs.
Rayon Sport FC in Rwanda, AFC Leopards in Kenya, El Merreikh of Sudan and South African sides Polokwane City, Free State Stars and Black Leopards.
