Stay away from the Media, Ben Nti tells Asante Kotoko Board Of Directors
1 min readFormer Asante Kotoko Administrative Manager, Ben Nti has cautioned the nine-member board of directors of the club to stay away from granting interviews to the Media.
Nti – who worked with the club from 2010 to 2012 under former Executive Chairman, Dr. KK Sarpong tells the new board to desist from discussing club issues with the media.
Speaking on Kumasi-based Ashh FM, Nti said; “Board members are not supposed to engage the media, we perceive to learn from the advanced countries, but meanwhile non of the board members of Chelsea, Man Utd or Bayern grant interviews. Those that matter in football are the coaches and players. They are the ones that matter most in the game”
He continued: “Board members should not tweet on their social media handles, It rather causes confusion and problems . The media takes advantage of such comments from the board and they start bringing the board down. If they stay away from the media it would help them.”
“From the little I learnt in Sunderland Football Club, information would be given at the training ground, but over here the media calls the players for them to grant interviews after almost every match which is not supposed to be the case.”
