‘Shocked’ Joseph Yaw Adu reacts to Acting CEO role at Kotoko

Joseph Yaw Adu, board member of Asante Kotoko, has reacted to fast-paced reports of his appointment as acting Chief Executive Officer for the Porcupine Warriors.

It is public secret that the twelve-member Asante Kotoko board of directors have been in a hunt for a Chief Executive Officer following the dissolution of the erstwhile management led by GFA Executive Council member, George Amoako.
According to reports gaining roots in the local media space, Joseph Yaw Adu, who is a retired Director of Sports at Kwame Nkrumah University Science and Technology has been appointed as the acting CEO of the Kumasi-based football club.
Speaking to Little Summer of Kumasi FM, Mr Adu reacted shockingly to the news
“Eei saa!,” he exclaimed in the local dialect (Twi).
“I’m surprised to hear this. I’m still a board member so how come they [reports] are saying I have been appointed as the club CEO. Take such news a one of the false new,” he concluded.
