Returned Ethiopian-based Ghanaian footballers released after 14 days quarantine
1 min readThe stranded Ghanaian Ethiopia-based footballers who called on the government of Ghana to evacuate them from the East African country have now been released and are now home after completing 14 days of mandatory quarantine.

The players led by former Black Stars defender, Lee Addy in a video which went viral pleaded with government to help them trek back home due to difficulties in living in Ethiopia following the closure of all borders .
The Ghana Football Association liaise with the Ministry of Youth and Sports as well as the Embassy in Ethiopia and they were airlifted back home through Togo.
After spending the 14 days at the Ghanaman Soccer Centre of Excellence in Prampram, the players are now at their various homes to reunite with their families.
However, the new Ethiopia football season is expected to begin in September and the players are expected to return if government opens the airport.
