Rashid Sumaila hints at Qadsia stay

Ghanaian defender, Rashad Sumaila has revealed that he could extend his contract with Kuwait side Qadsia SC.

Reports indicated that the centre-back was likely to end his stay with club, but contrary to the reports, the former Ghana under-23 defender has hinted of a possible contract renewal.

Sumaila, 27 , joined the former Kuwaiti Premier League winners in 2015 from South African side Mamelodi Sundowns.

But he went on loan at Qatari Club Al-Gharafa and Serbian side Red Star Belgrade before returning to the mother club Qadsia prior to the commencement of the 2019/20 season.

He wrote on his Twitter handle Friday that:

“The club and the administration doesn’t owe me anything they have given me everything and we are in talks to also renew the contract and also we are praying this virus will end soon so we can all get back to work am always happy to be part of this big family Qadsia club,” he tweeted.
