OFFICIAL: French Club Amiens re-sign Ghanaian defender Nicholas Opoku
1 min readFrench Ligue II side Amiens have announced the return of Ghana defender Nicholas Opoku on loan from Udinese.
Amiens re-signed the Ghana International centre-back for the 2020/21 after the player spent the last campaign at the Club on loan.
The 22-year-old arrived at Amiens in the January transfer window and spent half of the season at the Club.
The deal also gives the French side an option to buy the player on permanent basisi.
“Amiens SC are pleased to announce the return to the club of Nicholas Opoku,” Amien’s confirmed.
“Already loaned to Amiens SC last season, Nicholas Opoku returns to Picardy for this new 2020-2021 season.
“Welcome home Nicholas!
Opoku joins fellow Ghanaian Emmanuel Lomotey who recently moved to the Club on a four year deal from Spanish Segunda Division side Extremadura UD.
Metz and Rennes were all reportedly interested in signing the defender.
