Official: Former Juventus left-back Kwadwo Asamoah joins Cagliari

Ghana international Kwadwo Asamoah has finally joined Italian Serie A club Cagliari Calcio on a free transfer.
The 32-year-old has been unattached since October 2020, but has signed a five-month short deal with Cagliari Calcio after fruitful negotiations and passing a mandatory medical few days ago.
Asamoah will continues his Italian expedition having played for Udinese, Juventus, Inter and now Cagliari.
The club’s official statement reads,
“Cagliari Calcio announces that it has acquired the right to Kwadwo Asamoah’s sports performances: the player has signed a contract that binds him to the Club until the end of this season.”
Asamoah was without a club after his contract with Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan was terminated by mutual consent in October last year
He has also featured clubs like Torino, and recently Inter Milan.
Asamoah has been capped seventy-four times by Ghana at the senior national team level, the Black Stars with four goals to his name.
Cagliari Calcio have also secured the loan services of Ghanaian compatriot Joseph Alfred Duncan from ACF Fiorentina during the winter transfer window.
