Former Ghana internationl Nii Odartey Lamptey has advised Thomas Partey to change his stands on moving to the English Premier League by staying at Atlético Madrid.
Arsenal and Manchester United are believed to be the leading with regards to clubs interested in his signature.
Odartey Lamptey feels the Black Stars midfielder’s style of play is best suited for the Spanish game and a change may not necessarily be a wise move this summer.
“Offers are coming in for Partey but I’m telling you today, if he doesn’t make the right decision and chose the right club and country, he will go off.” Odartey Elmina based Ahomka FM.
“Decision making can spoil your career as a footballer because it happened to me during my playing days. it was wrong for me to choose Aston Villa over the French team that came calling so I will use my story to advise him to stay in Spain.”
“His playing style does not fit that of England and Spain. He can decide to leave Atletico and join other Spanish clubs but not either England or Italy.”
“I know he has to consider the financial package involved in any deal but if he wants his career to keep flourishing, then he should not make a move away from Spain because he can equally make money at Atletico” he added.
