The news that Aduana Stars are struggling to tie down key players of the club sparked a turmoil in a section of the fan base.
It was uncertain as to the reasons why the club is yet to commence contract extension talks with some key players of the club who have a few months left for their contracts to expire.
Last week, captain of the side Elvis Opoku revealed that the hierarchy of the two-time Ghana Premier League champions are yet to begin talks with him although he is left with three months for his contract to come to an end.

However, the Public Relations Officer of the club, Evans Oppong has revealed that managers of trio Caleb Amankwah, Eric Opoku and Joseph Addo are making contract extension talks difficult.
He indicated that agents of players should desist from inciting players not to extend their stay with their clubs after using the platform to build themselves.
“It is high time we all begin to discuss this unfortunate trend where managers of players incite them not to renew contact when their contracts are running down. It has happened to Hearts, Ashgold and now Aduana. These players leveraged the platforms of the clubs to make a name but are now holding the clubs to ransom, ” he told Akoma FM in Kumasi.
“Aduana wants to renew the contracts of Caleb Amankwah, Elvis Opoku and Joseph Addo but their managers are making things difficult.”
