But Kudjoe Fianoo – Chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association(GHALCA) has indicated that returning to the Obuasi-based club is not an option.
Speaking in an interview with Kumasi FM, he said: “it is news to me, I have not heard of it neither has there been any contact.
“I think I have done enough of my part over there. I must allow someone else to continue.”
The experienced administrator led Ashanti Gold to win the 2015 Ghana Premier League under the tutelage of Bashir Hayford.
The club had gone 19 years without a League title.
