Kotoko supporters group KUM APEM to donate GHS 2,000 to ex-player Kofi Abbrey next week

Former Asante Kotoko player Windsor Kofi Abbrey will be receiving an amount of GHS 2,000 from vibrant Asante Kotoko supporters group KUM APEM.

The presentation is slated for Tuesday, July 28, 2020 at exactly 11am. Ace Sports journalist Kuntu Blankson – head of sports Westgold Radio in Takoradi – is expected to do the presentation on behalf of the Kum Apem Group.

The vibrant WhatsApp group, known for their heartwarming gestures are raising funds to support some of their old players and officials who are in need financially at the moment.

The official ceremony is slated for Kumasi on August 1, 2020 but have decided to do that of Abbrey who is in Sekondi Takoradi and will not be able to make the trip to the Ashanti Regional capital.

This project is expected to raise GHc20,000 to support ten individuals who have sacrificed for the club in the past namely, Winsdor Kofi Abbrey, Abubakar Gariba, Dogo Moro, Kweku Minka, Omono Asamoah, Agyemang Duah, Kweku Ofori, Prince Adu-Poku, Julius Agyabeng who has been paralyzed for the last 7 years as well as Nana Berchie, who was behind the steer when Kotoko’s team bus had an accident in 2017.

The 1982 Africa Cup of Nations winner also played for Hearts Of Oak, Eleven Wise and Hasaacas.
