Kofi Manu questions George Amoakoh and Fred Ache’s existence on GFA’s Executive Council
1 min readControversial football administrator, Kofi Manu ‘Blue Boy’ has questioned the existence of George Amoakoh and Frederick Acheampong on the current Ghana Football Association(GFA) Executive Council.
According to him, the association’s status on individual’s who are no more with clubs on whose tickets they got elected is ambiguous and needs to be reviewed.
Frederick Acheampong won a slot onto the ExCo when he was the Chief Executive Officer of AshantiGold while George Amoakoh picked a slot on the ticket of Asante Kotoko. Now, both are no more with the clubs.
“George Amoakoh and Fred Achie have no constituency because they are no more with the clubs on whose ticket they were elected,” he told Kumasi-based Oyerepa FM.
“Whose interest are they serving or will be serving because the GFA statutes says 5 representatives elected by the Premier league Clubs,so whose interest will they be serving?
“You ask yourself if an RFA chairman loses his position can he still continue to be on the EXCO? Am sure is no and same applies to those on the Premier league and Division One.
“GFA’s Article 37(6) explains this emphasizing on premier, Division One and Regional bodies.
“Linking it with the 1992 constitution, Article 97 subsection 1(G) and (H) explains why they cannot be there.”
