Defender Kelvin Osei Assibey has expressed his heartfelt appreciation as he makes the transition from Techiman Eleven Wonders to the esteemed Ghana Premier League giants, Hearts of Oak.
The 22-year-old highly-regarded defender secured the move to join the Phobians, a decision influenced by his impressive performance during the previous season in the Division One League.
In the course of 25 matches, Assibey exhibited remarkable prowess, contributing two goals and providing seven assists. His exceptional contributions earned him six Most Valuable Player (MVP) awards, with a particularly noteworthy display during the Division One Zone One playoff against Bofoakwa Tano.
Addressing his departure from the Techiman-based club, Assibey conveyed his sentiments: “When I thought I couldn’t reach my goals, you always supported me and kept me going. I want to thank you for helping me reach my potential” a statement from the player reads as he bids farewell to the Techiman-based club.
Osei Assibey’s arrival is poised to bolster the defensive capabilities of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League champions, particularly in response to their subpar defensive performance in the recently concluded season.
