Established on August 31, 1935 today marks the 85th birthday anniversary of the Porcupine Warriors.
Arguably, the Kumasi-based club is the biggest football club in the West African county having won many laurels and produced two African players of the year in Ibrahim Sunday and Abdul Karim Razak ‘Golden Boy’.
Mohammed says he hopes the 85th celebration brings a lot of success in the coming years.
He tweeted:
“It is an honor to serve the pride of Ashanti Kingdom. As we celebrate our 85th Anniversary today, may we continue to make a great impact on football in Ghana and Africa. May this anniversary bring a lots of success stories. Wo Kum Apem aa Apem Beba”
Asante Kotoko has 23 league titles, 9 FA Cup trophies, 2 Africa Champions League, 3 Super Cups and other trophies.
