I would love to retire at Kotoko but.. – Sulley Muntari
1 min readGhana legend Sulley Ali Muntari says he would be glad to retire at Asante Kotoko but disclosed that he will not rule out a move to rivals Hearts Of Oak.
The 2010 UEFA Champions League winner last played for Spanish Second Division side Albacete in June 2019 where he completed a six-month loan deal.
It would be recalled that the former Black Stars midfielder trained with Hearts Of Oak in that same year and was recently linked with a move to the Rainbow Club.
However, the 35-year-old in an Instagram chat with his followers over the weekend, indicated that he would love to return to the domestic league to play for the Porcupine Warriors.
“I love Kotoko. They tried signing me when l was a young player in Kumasi,” he said.
“I would love to retire with them, but l would not rule out Hearts, RTU, King Faisal or Liberty Professionals,” he said.
Muntari commenced his illustrious career with Liberty Professionals before travelling into Europe to join Serie A side Udinese.
He played in three Fifa World Cup with Ghana – 2006, 2010 and 2014.
