I won’t advice young players to start their career in China – Odartey Lamptey
1 min readFormer Ghana international Nii Odartey Lamptey says he will not advice any young player to begin his career in China although the Chinese Super League is a though one.
The Chinese Super League has promised huge money to players willing to pack their bags and leave the various leagues around the globe – especially Europe for a crack at the growing Chinese League.
Huge talents like Carlos Tevez, Oscar, Marouane Fellaini, John Mikel Obi have all moved to taste the CSL before.
In an interview with Joy Sports, the former Anderlecht star revealed that he will rather advice players to end their career in the Chinese league and will still get money.
“Chinese league is a tough league to play in,” Odartey Lamptey said Joy Sports Link.
“I won’t advice you to start your career in China, you can end it there. You can get a lot of money from there.”
Lamptey played for Chinese side Shandong Luneng Tai Shan in China between 2001 and 2002, making 37 appearances and scoring 7 goals.
