I prefer playing for Al Ahly than Zamalek – Bechem United prodigy Prince Adu Kwabena

Bechem United superstar, Prince Adu Kwabena has intimated his desire to play for Egyptian giants Al Ahly.

Adu Kwabena has been scintillating for his side in the suspended 2019/20 Ghana Premier League.

The 16-year-old tormented defenders with his swift movements, scoring eight goals after 15 games – four adrift of leading goalscorer Victorien Adebayor of Inter Allies.

Adu Kwabena told Albawaba news portal that, Al Ahly is his dream club despite being approach by arch-rivals Zamalek FC.

“Yes, they [Zamalek] tried to sign me during the window, I learnt this from Bechem Utd officials who assured me that Zamalek officials submitted an official offer to join them at the beginning of next season,

He disclosed he has not been contacted personally by Zamalek rather Bechem United.

“None of them has formally negotiated with me yet, but rather, they contacted the club’s officials and asked them to agree, and so far, I do not know what was agreed between the two parties.

“I prefer playing in Ahly, it has a great history and I love the club on a personal level, especially that they have the best Egyptian and African football stars playing for the red team, which is the first team in the African continent and an honor for any player to wear its shirt.”
