I have passion for Football more than Acting – Kumawood Actor Yaw Dabo
1 min readGhanaian actor, Yaw Dabo eminently known as ‘Adwen Kese’ has implored football stakeholders to consider investing more in developing young talents, noting that he has passion for football more than acting.
The West African nation has been a hub for football talents who have gone on to global stardom but much has not been done in recent times to groom the talents locally.
There has been a growing discussion on whether to revisit the Colt system or employ the academy approach in nurturing talents. Whichever way it is, Kumawood actor Yaw Dabo wants heavy investment into juvenile football in order to meet the standards set.
“It is about time Ghana Football pays more attention and invest heavily in juvenile football. There must be a proper plan to expose and develop juvenile football players in the country,” he told Accra-based Angel 102.9FM.
The actor revealed he has more passion for football than his chosen profession of acting.
“I have passion for football more than acting. I use to have colts football club but due to financial constraints I have put everything on hold” he concluded.
Football and other contact sports such as rugby and boxing are still on suspension due to the outbreak of the novel COVID-19 pandemic has caused a standstill in world activities.
