Newly-appointed Asante Kotoko Chief Executive Officer, Nana Yaw Amponsah has brushed aside comments that he is a newbie in football and that lack the requisite knowledge to head the Management Team of the Ghanaian giants.
According to the 2019 Ghana Football Association presidential election candidate, he has about fifteen years of experience in football management and therefore has what it takes to make the Porcupine Warriors great again.
Nana Yaw Amponsah was unveiled on Friday, August 7, 2020, to steer the affairs of the club in the next three years.
However, some people have indicated that he is too young to lead the Reds in that capacity.
But responding to his critics, he waves aside those tagging him as inexperienced.
Speaking to Opemsuo 104.7 FM, he said, “it is untrue that I am a newbie in football. I’ve done football for fifteen years, I hold Master’s Degree in Sports Law and Practice from the Leicester DE Monort University, UK.”
“I have been a Club President and worked with world renowned football companies. Though I am young in terms of age, but not issues of football,” he concluded.
The Head of Kotoko’s Management was a FIFA Licensed player agent/intermediary and transferred over 50 players from Ghana from 2008 to 2018.
