Hearts of Oak defeat lower-tier side Dolphins FC 4-0 in a friendly game

Hearts of Oak continued their preparations for the new betPawa Premier League season with a 4-0 win against lower-tier fold Dolphins FC in a friendly encounter at the Kpobiman Sports Complex.

The Phobians paraded a very a strong lineup for the game; Richmond Ayi, Micheal Ampadu, Denis Korsah, Kofi Agbesimeh, Kelvin Asibey, Qwaku Nsoh, Evans Adomako, Martin karikari, Albert Dieudonne, Michelle Sarpong and Siedu Suraj were handed starting roles.

Hearts of Oak opened the scoring after just 12 minutes into the game, Suraj Seidu calmly planted the ball home after receiving a pass from Michelle Sarpong.

Eight minutes later, Suraj Seidu scored again to make it 2-0, before Albert Dieudonne made it 3-0 on the stroke of half-time, his first goal for the team.

At the start of the second half, the Phobians made changes to the starting eleven; Richard Attah, Kofi Agbesimeh, Kelvin Asibey, Liventius Attur, Raphael Amponsah, Salifu Ibrahim, Eric Esso, Amankwah Baafi, Hamza Issah and Albert Dieudonne started the half.

Hearts of Oak continued from where they left off in the first half, Albert Dieudonne scored in the 50th minute to grab his brace and make it 4-0 for the team.

In the 79th minute, Hearts of Oak had the chance to extend their lead from a spot-kick but Issah Kukah sent his effort straight into the arms of the goalkeeper as the game ended 4-0.

Hearts of Oak arranged the game as part of their preparations for the 2023/24 betPawa Premier League season which is scheduled to kick off on Friday, September 15.

The Phobians will begin their season against Real Tamale United (RTU) at the Aliu Mahama Stadium in Tamale.

Last season, the Phobians endured a torrid season, failing to retain the MTN FA Cup and finishing in 12th place on the league table, avoiding relegation on the final day of the season.
