Hearts Of Oak midfielder, Daniel Kordie has blamed former gaffer of the side Kim Grant for deceiving the hierarchy about his knee injury which has sidelined him for a year.
The Phobians were bashed by the local media for neglecting Kordie who suffered the career threatening injury May last year.
But the 26-yesr-old has rather exonerated the Ghanaian giants, disclosing that Kim Grant kicked against the club’s decision to cover the cost of the surgery for his damaged knee.
“I have been sidelined for one year now. I suffered the injury on May 23rd last year,” Kordie told Kumasi-based radio station Oyerepa FM.
“Hearts of Oak have not neglected me but I only blame Kim Grant for what has happened since May 2019.”
“He [Kim Grant] was around when I sustained the injury, I told him about my situation but he always pretended that he has informed the board of directors and management about my injury.
”When the Hearts of Oak board of directors decided to make an arrangement for my surgery. Kim Grant kicked against their decision.
Reacting to the situation the Public Relations Officer of the club, Kwame Opare Addo indicated on Asempa FM that, the club has spent over one year to do a medical assessment of the player’s situation.
“The doctor in charge of the situation recently recommended a surgery to be conducted on the knee in South Africa.”
Footydreamsgh.com understand that Kordie is still on the payroll of Hearts Of Oak although his contract has run out with the club.
