GFA set to receive $500,000 from Fifa COVID-19 relief fund
1 min readThe Ghana Football Association is set to receive a sum of $500,000 as financial support from Fifa COVID-19 relief fund.
The world football governing body has revealed that it will release $150 million to aid all 211 member associations in coming days as the first step of a relief plan to lessen the financial burden on clubs amid the COVID-19 disease crisis.

Each member Association of Fifa will receive the amount of money to support its operations.
The said amount of money is expected to be shared among all football clubs in the country to help them foot their bills.
Clubs have struggled to meet their financial demands due to the novel disease which has frozen football activities.
Players are being forced to take pay-cuts due to the huge impact of the COVID-19 disease outbreak on finances.
The Ghana Football Association have been trying to hand support to the various Clubs in the country after giving out $5,000 to each of the 18 Premier League Clubs as part payment of the StarTimes deal which was signed before the start of the 2019/20 season.
