General manager of FM Station rejected me because my face looked so quiet – Wontumi FM Sports Journalist

Sports Journalist with Kumasi based Wontumi FM Kwaku Edilson has revealed how he was snubbed by Radio station just because of his calm demeanor.

According to the former Sports journalist of Otec FM, he was on the spot rejected by the manager of the radio station in his bid to be employed as Sports Analyst at the Radio Station.

Edilson Speaking on Wontumi FM’s Sports program monitored by GHANANEWSCENETR.COM disclosed he was actually rejected by the manager of the radio station because his face did not look like some who can “fire”.

“I went to the radio station and I was rejected by the general manager of the station because my face looked so quiet. He told me my face looked so quiet but here am I working and doing the job” He divulged.

In Ghana especially on Kumasi radio, a presenter is wrongly perceived to be good or having a gusto when he is able to go hard on air. This has been tagged as ‘fire’ thus the he can fire on air so he is good.
