Former Kotoko defender Mohammed Awal to be compensated $70,000 by Raja Casablanca
1 min readMohammed Awal is set to be compensated an amount of $70,000 after winning a compensation case against former club Raja Casablanca according to reports.
The Green Eagles unlawfully terminated Mohammed’s contract after complaining of unpaid salaries.
The former Asante Kotoko defender joined Raja Casablanca in 2015 from Saudi Arabian side Al Shabab but his stay at the club ended abruptly after the Moroccan club failed to pay him his wages.
Mohammed will therefore, breceive the money for the non-payment of his salaries during his spell with the side.
The case was reported to FIFA, who ordered the club to pay Mohammed all monies owed him.
The 32-year-old made 23 appearance for the Green Eagles before the contest was cancelled.
He joins Adel Karrouchi and Nigeria’s Osagona as players to be settled by the club.
He has since featured for Arsenal Tula, Asante Kotoko, Al Fahaheel and Al Ansar.
