2 min readControversial football administrator, Takyi Arhin has stated that all those complaining about the model used by the Ghana Football Association in the disbursement of the FIFA COVID-19 Relief Fund belong to a particular camp.
World Football Governing Body – FIFA – has allocated a whooping $150m to all 211 member associations as a stimulus package due to the novel COVID-19 pandemic which has rocked the world.

Since the announcement of the share of the various stakeholders under the Ghana Football Association, some administrators – especially those in the Division One have expressed strong dissatisfaction with the $7,500 allocated to each of the 48 clubs in that division.
Chief Executive Officer of New Edubiase United Abdul Salam Yakubu has publicly stated that he will reject the said amount, while CEO of Berekum Arsenals Yakubu Moro has accused the FA of planning to hold a chunk of the amount for their personal use.

Reacting to those wild claims, Takyi Arhin, affectionately called Thunder believes the complaints are unwarranted .
“All those complaining on the disbursement of the FIFA COVID-19 Relief Fund belong to a particular camp, meanwhile they have no case,” he told Kumasi-based Fox FM.
He added: “There are differences in Premier and Division One Clubs, hence the money cannot be shared evenly.”
