Ex-Kotoko and Hearts legend Emmanuel Osei Kuffour to enroll in a coaching course in USA

Former Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko Emmanuel Osei Kuffour has confirmed his willingness to become a football manager as soon as possible.

Kuffour, affectionately called General has started the process to securing a certificate in coaching after he revealed he is about to enroll for a course in the United states of America, where he is based currently.

Osei Kuffour is regarded to be one if the best players to have featured in the Ghana Premier League, having played for Ebusua Dwarfs and AshantiGold aside the two biggest club in the West Africa country.

Speaking on a wide range of issues in an interview with Kumasi-based Ashh FM, Osei Kuffour disclosed he is on the verge of starting a new life in football by going for a coaching course.

“I want to become a coach. Because of that I will enroll for a coaching course very soon to attain the new qualifications for the job.

“We have to help the upcoming Footballers to continue what we did in the local scene and beyond. This is what we have been in and would like to be in it.

“I’m beginning the coaching course soon in the United States of America. Afterwards, I’ll return to Ghana to coach.”

Osei Kuffour was a key figure in the Hearts of Oak team that won the 2000 Caf champions League and 2004 Caf Confederation Cup. He also won several league titles with the Rainbow club and a title with Asante Kotoko under the tutelage of Bashir Hayford.
