Ex-Black Stars player rates Isaac Asiamah over Nii Lante Vanderpuye
1 min readFormer Ghana International, Mohammed Polo has insisted that current Sports Minister Isaac Asiamah has performed better than Nii Lante Vanderpuye.
He is the latest to share his opinion with regards to the comparison people are making between current Sports Minister Isaac Asiamah and former Sports Minister Nii Lante Vanderpuye. Last week, former Sports Minister Mallam Issah picked the latter ahead of the former.
According to Polo, Asiamah has done tremendously well and should be commended for the great work so far.
Asiamah has overseen the construction of about 10 new Sports facilities, with many more yet to commence.
The Member of Parliament of the Atwima Mponua is the only man to have spent almost four years in office in the last eight years.
“I am struggling to see what Nii Lante did during his tenure as Sports Minister, ” he told Kumasi-based Akoma FM.
“At least I have seen development and upgrading of sports infrastructure since Asiamah took over.
“If you say Nii Lante brought structural reforms, what was the end product?”
“For me because of the infrastructure, I will go for Asiamah.”
Polo was a member of Ghana’s Black Stars team that won the 1978 Africa Cup of Nations.
