Former Asante Kotoko striker, Eric Kwabena Bekoe has thrown his support behind the club’s Executive Chairman, Kwame Kyei, noting that he is not God to see everything in the club.
The Kwame Kyei-led administration has been hugely criticized for lapses in their activities which have cost the club huge judgment debts.
Among them is the whooping fine of $240,000 which the club paid with regards to the wrongful registration of Emmanuel Clottey .
Again, the Porcupine Warriors have been fined $34,000 for dismissing former coach CK Akonnor without any tangible reasons.
Speaking in an interview with Vision FM, Bekoe noted that Mr. Kyei is not a god to see all shortfalls in the club.
“I have not taken money from Dr Kwame Kyei but whatever be the case we have to support him so he can accomplish he visions for the club,”he told Vision FM.
“Personally, I can’t blame him for recent Kotoko issues because he is a man that loves the club and has ordered people to take care of certain positions. The truth is that, he is not god to see everything and that is why he has delegated some of his powers to people.
“So if things are not going on well for the club, there should be an auditor to audit so we can know where exactly the problem is” he concluded.
Bekoe joined Kotoko prior to the 2007/08 season, winning the goal King award with 17 goals.
